About Children's Leadership Program

Today, many students learn additional skills such as music, dances, arts, sports and many other types of extra-curricular activities. Such practice is commendable since our world continues to become ever so competitive and having such healthy skills is always useful to accompany a child's growth. Through extra-curricular activities, students are exposed to some form of leadership but unguided through trial and error.

We hope to introduce to you a program about leadership, which is rare in supply, yet very important for the daily lives and development of teenagers, and in fact for adults too. Leadership starts from self. Self-leadership is the ability to achieve personal victory. Whether or not we are, or aspire to become, a leader, self-leadership allows us to take charge and become an effective person to succeed in life. From there, students will learn how to lead others and achieve public victory, designed from sources of practical and experienced leaders.

Primary students will enroll in the Junior Self Leadership (JSL) in the first year whilst Secondary students will enroll in the Foundation for Apprentice Leadership (FAL).

Purpose

Our Children's Leadership Program will help children and teenagers to nurture strong mental health, build self-confidence, learn important life skills, cultivate self-motivations and the right habits to achieve success, as well as to enjoy continuous learning. SFAL students will be exposed to team leadership, learning how to communicate effectively, build relationships, organise people and processes, influence people positively and inspire others. These are essential skills for the 21st Century as a student and beyond, to be a rounded individual and gain competitive advantage in academic pursuit, personal growthcareer development and life in general.
